@KalamityJohn oh, if it only might be a plan! But unfortunately plans and I don´t match at all… An example: Five months ago, before I went to my maternity leave, I had planed to will have refreshed my spanish little bit (btw. could someone tell me, whether this sentence is grammatically correct?? 
) In the past I studied spanish for three years (although „to study“ hardly expresses, what I really did, I simply went to a spanish class once a week, but spanish is a great language to learn, when you want to achieve big results with few effort 
), so I thought it wouldn´t be such hard work… Now @Petrolka already knows, how the plan´s destiny is 
Anyway, it would be great, if my english would´t be gone as well

spanish is a great language to learn, when you want to achieve big results with little effort.
And I am not saying this is correct, it just sounds/feels right to me

But I wrote the sentence on purpose in such a complicated way, because I wanted to use as many tenses as possible Just as an exercise. I don´t really suppose (especially) Americans speak this way

Dont be hard on yourself, you are doing fine, just need to practice.
I used to listen to stand up comedy, it helped me a lot, you can find plenty on youtube or internet radios.
