Thats a word play. Feeling as feeling tired versus feeling as touching or fondling. (he felt me up - ohmatával mne)
Sleepy and Grumpy are two of seven dwarfs.
One of the English jokes that are impossible to tranlate.

Five months ago, before I went to my maternity leave, I had planed to will have refreshed my spanish little bit (btw. could someone tell me, whether this sentence is grammatically correct??)
You could use the simplified version as Kalamity John pointed out. Or you can say :…I had been planning to brush up on my Spanish a little bit.
So the Past perfect should be in continuous form (up to the point in the past). And putting past perfect and future perfect in one sentence/timeline doesn't really work well.

Right, sorry for trying to help. Won't happen again.
I am sorry, but if you think my post is meant for you, you are mistaken. I think your comment was right on the money, frankly I never understood times in English.
The picture is just a joke, I am trying to keep this discussionn alive, never meant to offend you in any way.
Savvy?

Majka, so did I
Anyway thank you for your remark
I agree with John, that nobody would speak in such a complicated way, it should just be my contribution to the „grammar-theme“, something like „let´s have a look what I can remember from my school times“
This discussion makes me a little bit proud that I can write something in a language that I have never used in practice.

I still remember the first time I used English to communicate with a foreigner. It was just one simple sentence, but it made me feel like million bucks ![]()

@Martinik You should be proud. But don't rely on „nobody would speak in such a complicated way“. That piece of grammar exists for a reason. And while some nations eg. the Americans or some layers of society might not use it often, others do.
My boyfriend and I just out of curiosity counted all the tenses we used from the moment we woke up, until we finished breakfast. We used 9 out of 12.
So sure you can definitely live with about 6 tenses quite comfortably…unless you start reading novels of talking to (I don't want to say it, but there's no other way) more educated people.
I defo didn't want to discourage you, but I don't like this myth.
Btw. how is your maternity leave going?
And Kalamity John, where do you live?

@Majka13 don´t be afraid, you can´t discourage me, I suffer from lack of discipline, not courage
I just find the difference between high english and „I think that…“-english (my own expression
) tooooooooo huge…
