Girls great is to watch Skye news if you got satellite, that's proper English with different accents. Czech teacher will never teach you as native one. Then try to travel abroad maybe for hols or try to find native speakers/friends in CR.
I have to say I miss English language so much and I'd love to speak to someone on daily basis.

@Moodymare Thanks. Fortunately I have a good memory and learn just a little. But sometimes it is a big problem.  I have so many hobbies. I know that I expect too much but I don't want to work at gas station forever. Only my laziness. I have to overcome. Wow, horses? I went riding just once when I was 8 years and It was great. Good for you and envy..

Hi girls :mavam:
What a good idea :potlesk:
My name's Lucie, I am 27 yo, I am married and have a son. He' s 2 yo. I lerned English for 10 years. However my first and the most favourite language is French (I am living in a French language speaking region so if you want to start a new discussion for writing in French I would join you as well). Now I have no opportunity to speak English and I forgot all I knew :( I think that before my English wasn't so bad, I passed the scholl-leaving exam then State exam and at University I studied the English as well. Speaking and writing is much more difficult than reading. I have to read English books for my dissertation ( I don't study English anymore but a lot of materials I need is in English).

@Sepishka - well I was used to American accent from CR as most people would be taught in bit harder American accent. British one is very melodic, like singing. I had problem only with brummie (Birmingham) accent and Scottish natives. Also Indian natives in Britain have their typical accent that was bit tricky for me. But my husband worked with Indian Scottish guys at office and he was ok with that.
Wow, you are in states now? Where if I can ask? I'd love to get there or to Canada just to travel there for some time but it is just a dream now because my baby boy and my mare. :)

Interestig was to have a two english teacher in the same drade. One teacher studied in America and one in England. Difference in pronunciation was to know.

@lucipajda Hi, luci! I've heard French is much more difficult to learn than English. I have been to France once and it was amazing three weeks long trip! But I definitely won't be the one to start discussion in Frech, I know greetings only :-)

@roksy25 - There's a difference in grammar too. US English is easier I'd day. But loads of English native speaker are very bad in grammar and spelling. They're lucky to be born native English speakers so they do not need to learn foreign language. :)

See if we have Sky news on satellite. Last year I was in England, Manchester and I am quite communicated by, but you're right, that English was completely different from what I learned, so I took a while before I get used to it.

@rachel55 - I hope I didn't behave badly. It is not easy to be nice and smiling after hard shift. My apology if I wasn't nice. :)

@Sepishka - that must me nice there. That's always very good experience to live abroad. Is your husband working there on contract for some period of time? I mean is he going back here after some time or is he American? I mean I was quite shocked when I moved back to CR after those years spent there.
Have you got your kid/kids with you there?
